Canal Side Guest House
This beautifully restored 1820’s home has good ol’ feel-at-home ambiance—it’s the perfect place to relax after your kayak class. Ideal for groups, couples, and individuals, your hosts Rod and Jen offer a warm, attractive, reasonably-priced place to spend the weekend. There is a newly-remodeled, fully-equipped kitchen at your disposal—bring your own food! Have 3 or 4 couples in your group? Rent the whole Canal Side Guest House and have the whole place to yourself. Your visit includes full use of the living room with TV, VCR, and all the comforts of home. Call them today—space is limited.
Economical lodging for adventurous visitors – Mary’s is conveniently located in downtown Jim Thorpe, within minutes of many adventures. Featuring two family/group-style rooms (up to 5 in each) and a ‘couples’ room, the house accommodates 1 to 12 people comfortably. With a full kitchen plus dining and living rooms, and even a cozy patio, it is a home-away-from-home that can be a base for your exploration of the upper Lehigh Valley and Pocono Mountains. Rates vary and start at $60 for a private room or $22 per person for shared space – they want to give everyone a great deal. There are fascinating shops and fine dining throughout the town. Enjoy live stage shows at the Mauch Chunk opera house. Enjoy the pristine beach at Mauch Chunk lake down the road. Miles of awesome mountain biking and hiking trails are in nearby Lehigh Gorge state park and Hickory Run state park.
